Updating magellan maestro 4040
I needed the "Spring 2009" map update, base map 37.They wanted to charge me for this update even though I bought my 1430 just yesterday and was told when I called Magellan before purchasing that it would come with the latest map version. Magellan has indicated that the decision to update maps will be dependent on the number of customer requests.Still did not come up with a few local places that I visit... The website address where you can download the 6m POIs is: catid=66&threadid=2120938&enterthread=y It wasn't really that hard to do and… However my GPS screen lit up to system settings but would not let me do anything else. If I didn't think I could help, it would be irresponsible of me to take up either your time or mine, don't you agree? I plugged my GPS into the computer but nothing showed on my desktop.
The maps of the Magellan 3100 are from the third quarter of 2006.Magellan should have a website where you can download your unit's updates. The Magellan Toughcase made for the i Phone and i Touch by my review and along with other individuals does not work well for geocaching. It does bring GPS capabilities to the apple products but it does not update position when hiking or walking towards a cache. The device has a small reset button that you can press to reset the gps. I won't ask you anything that isn't necessary to come to a resolution, so please provide the best answer you can.The button is on the side of the GPS opposite the memory card slot. I need to know if the behavior of the device changed after the reset.
